The North Bay Playhouse, opened as Scarborough’s first purpose built public cinema in 1914! Still here today. Situated atop a low cliff side of pretty public paths, overlooking the sea across the town’s majestic North Bay. The Playhouse invites you and your family to experience the latest blockbuster films, timeless classics, exciting live events, music and more! You can book on-line, or you can pay in the foyer before the film. We take cash or card.

We are putting together a 2026 season of films and events being added to regularly – So please keep looking in and support your local venue!
